PasarGuru — effective 27 August 2026
The app collects no personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking.
Location — if you grant permission, your location is used only to sort markets by distance and to centre the map. It is processed on your device and never transmitted. Your last viewed map area is stored locally so the map reopens where you left it.
Preferences — your followed markets, language, and map settings are stored only in the app’s local storage and are deleted when you delete the app.
Reminders — closure reminders are scheduled entirely on your device. There is no server and no push service.
Closure data — the app downloads the public hawker centre closure dataset published by Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) directly from data.gov.sg. That request goes to the Singapore government’s servers and is subject to their privacy statement.
Map tiles — the map loads tiles from OneMap (onemap.gov.sg), a Singapore government service.
Anonymous usage analytics — the app sends anonymous app-launch events to Expo’s EAS Insights (platform and app version, with a random installation token that cannot identify you), so the developer can understand overall usage. No interaction or content data is collected. This data is not linked to your identity and is never shared with advertisers.
Over-the-air updates — when the app checks for updates, it sends the operating system, the project ID, and a random token to Expo. No identifying information is transmitted.
Any change to this policy will be committed to this file in the app’s public repository.
